Where it started

From a 3-ring binder to ScoutBall AI

“I created what I now lovingly call my old school coaching binder: a 3-ring binder packed with printed practice plans, a drill library for fielding and hitting, lineup templates, and the first version of a player evaluation form.”

That binder became ScoutBall AI. These pages are the paper version, free to print and use all season. The app is the automated version of the very same work: it keeps the pitch counts, calculates the stats, ranks the players and builds the lineups for you.

Questions

Is the Coach's Binder really free?

Yes. Enter your name and email and download the PDF right away. There's nothing to buy and no credit card.

Does it work for softball?

Yes. The evaluation form, lineup card, rotation sheet, practice plan and stats cheat sheet work the same for fastpitch softball. The pitch count chart follows baseball's Pitch Smart guidelines, so use your league's softball rules for pitching limits.

What size does it print?

US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), 9 pages. The forms print cleanly in black and white. Print only the pages you need, as many times as you like.

Where do the pitch count numbers come from?

The rest-day chart follows the MLB and USA Baseball Pitch Smart guidelines. Leagues and high school associations set their own rules, so always follow your league's rulebook first.
